This Show is Based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, Jeff Trammell is the creator of the upcoming American animated television series Spider-Man for the streaming service Disney+. It is created by Marvel Studios Animation and has been announced to be the 12th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from Marvel Studios. Set in some other chronology from most of the MCU films and television shows, the series focuses into Peter Parker's early days as Spider-Man and his origin story. Norman Osborn serves as Parker's mentor. Mel Zwyer is the supervising director, while Trammell is the lead writer.

As part of Phase Five of the MCU, the first two episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man's first season are set to air on Disney+ on January 29, 2025.In November 2021, Disney+ stated the series as Spider-Man: Freshman Year, with Trammell on board. The creative team preferred to go to a parallel reality because they thought the initial idea to put it in the regular MCU chronology was too limiting. This allowed the series to explore well-known concepts and folks in novel ways. By December 2023, it had been changed its name Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The remaining episodes will be out in batches until February 19. There are plans for a second season.
