Pixar Animation Studios is producing the next American animated television series Win or Lose for the streaming service Disney+. Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates wrote, directed, and produced it. They were executive producers alongside Lindsey Collins, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, and David Lally. Each episode depicts the viewpoint of each member in the same events, each expressing themselves in a distinct visual manner. The series focused on the Pickles, a coed softball crew at the middle school, in the week prior to their major tournament game. Will Forte, Ian Chen, Izaac Wang, Jo Firestone, Milan Ray, Josh Thomson, Erin Keif, Rosie Foss, and Chanel Stewart are among the cast folks of the series. After Disney+ had been launched, Pixar was working on the long-form original series. The idea was proposed by Hobson and Yates, who were on board when it was formally unveiled in December 2020 during Disney's Investor Day.
Ramin Djawadi created the score for it. Win or Lose, which will have eight episodes, is set to air on Disney+ on February 19, 2025.Since plenty of Pixar's television works are based on short-form and already-established assets, Win or Lose is both the company's first long-form animated series and its first that isn't centered on an existing property. After Disney+ was established, Pixar started thinking about making a TV show.Win or Lose chronicles the week before the Pickles, a coed middle school softball team, play in their major championship game. Two conflicts are highlighted in each 20-minute episode, which somewhat explores the same events from the viewpoint of one Pickles member—such as players, their families, or the umpire as the game draws near.
