Pixar Animation Studios formed the 2015 American animated maturation movie Inside Out for Walt Disney Pictures. Pete Docter directed it based on an outline he co-wrote with Josh Cooley and Meg LeFauve. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Richard Kind, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan are among the actors who deliver the voices in the movie. Inside Out chronicles the inner conversations and behaviors of Riley, a young child who adjusts to her family's move while being governed by five fictionalized feelings.After noticing how his daughter's personality changed as she turned older, Docter came up with the idea for Inside Out in October 2009. 

After receiving approval, Docter argues that and co-director Ronnie del Carmen worked on the project, seeking advice from psychologists and psychiatrists to create a realistic depiction of the mind. The project took five and a half years to complete and cost about $175 million. The production the timetable for the movie was delayed by significant modifications to the plot and characters.On May 18, 2015, Inside Out made its international release at the 68th Cannes Film Festival. On June 19, it hit theaters in the United States. Its subject matter, a narrative, script, fabrication, and vocal performances—especially those of Poehler, Smith, Kind, Hader, Kaling, and Black—all won praise from critics. Inside Out was ranked among the top ten films of 2015 by the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review. It ended its theatrical run as the seventh-highest-grossing movie of 2015 with a global box office total of $858.8 million. 

At the 88th Academy accolades, the movie won Best Animated Feature and was up for nomination for two other prizes. It also won a lot of other trophy collection. Inside Out was named one of the greatest animated films ever produced by the psychological journal Film and Philosophy.Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger are the five characterizes feelings that Riley Andersen, a young child, feels affect her behavior. Every night, Riley's experiences are encoded into long-term brain memory as recollections that persist as colored orbs. Five floating islands represent the elements of the five strongest "core memories" in her psyche. Joy, who sees Sadness as an unwarranted burden for Riley, takes over and works to curtail her power.
